Low-Profile Protected Bike Lane Curb

CREATE A PROTECTED BIKE LANE WITHOUT THE FULL-HEIGHT BARRIER

SAFE-T Curb™ gives cyclists real physical separation in a clean 6-inch profile. A gradual bicycle-side slope keeps the riding line forgiving, while a steeper vehicle-side face holds the boundary so you protect riders without walling off the street.

Product Overview

SAFE-T Curb

Flex posts bend, scatter, and get replaced season after season and they never actually stop a vehicle from drifting into the lane. SAFE-T Curb™ replaces that flimsy delineation with high quality precast concrete. The low 6-inch profile keeps sightlines open and the streetscape uncluttered, while a shaped cross-section does the real work: a gentle slope on the bike side that's comfortable to ride beside, and a steeper face on the vehicle side that signals a firm edge.

Every unit is steel-reinforced 5,000 psi concrete, cast in a temperature-controlled facility for consistent quality. Three anchor holes per unit lock each piece to the roadway for secure, rapid installation, and two cast-in slots handle both drainage and forklift handling. Run them as individual units for permeable, drainage-friendly spacing, or set them end to end for a continuous protected corridor — the same curb adapts to the geometry your street already has.

Key Benefits

WHY A SHAPED CURB BEATS A PAINTED LINE

REAL PHYSICAL SEPARATION
A large, solid green right-pointing triangle set against a light background.

Concrete, not plastic means drivers feel a cast 5,000 psi unit instead of flattening a post

A large, solid green right-pointing triangle set against a light background.

The shaped vehicle-side face reinforces the lane edge and discourages encroachment

A large, solid green right-pointing triangle set against a light background.

A forgiving bike-side slope keeps the riding line comfortable, even close to the edge

A large, solid green right-pointing triangle set against a light background.

Ending the replacement cycle means no more re-ordering flex posts after every plow season

LOW-PROFILE BY DESIGN
A large, solid green right-pointing triangle set against a light background.

The 6″ height provides separation without a wall that blocks sightlines or driver visibility

An open streetscape keeps corridors feeling welcoming, not fortified

A large, solid green right-pointing triangle set against a light background.

Better resident reception comes from a clean, intentional edge instead of a field of leaning posts

A large, solid green right-pointing triangle set against a light background.

Approachable for all users, it’s low enough to step over at crossings yet defined enough to guide traffic

DRAINAGE & ROADWAY FRIENDLY
A large, solid green right-pointing triangle set against a light background.

Built-in drainage slots let stormwater pass through two cast openings instead of damming at the curb line

A large, solid green right-pointing triangle set against a light background.

Flexible spacing lets you gap units for permeable runs or butt them tight for a continuous edge

A large, solid green right-pointing triangle set against a light background.

Working with your grade, individual units conform to crowns, slopes, and existing drainage patterns

No trapped debris means the slotted design avoids the standing water and grit buildup of solid curbing

RAPID, SECURE INSTALLATION
A large, solid green right-pointing triangle set against a light background.

Three anchor holes per unit provide positive mechanical attachment to the roadway surface

A large, solid green right-pointing triangle set against a light background.

Fast to set, units are placed and pinned, not poured or formed on site

“The difference between our old barriers and Safe-T Lanes isn’t just the crash rating—it’s the complete system thinking. These tapers show we’ve considered every detail of cyclist safety, not just the straightaways. That attention to detail matters when you’re protecting lives.
